Snowden’s father pens open letter to son
“You are a modern day Paul Revere: summoning the American
people to confront the growing danger of tyranny and one branch government,”
Snowden’s father and Fein wrote.
{mosads}Last week, Snowden’s father wrote
a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder proposing that Snowden would come
back on his own to face trial in the U.S., so long as he could remain free
prior to trial, would not be subjected to a gag order and would be tried in a
place of his choosing.
In an interview with NBC News, Lon Snowden also expressed
concerns about Snowden’s connections to WikiLeaks and Julian Assange.
Snowden, who has been charged with espionage for leaking classified
documents detailing National Security Agency surveillance activities, is
currently in Moscow after traveling there from Hong Kong.
He has applied to asylum in 20 countries, but many have
rejected the request.
