Eight injured in explosion at New Jersey naval base

The Navy said that the damage from the explosion was contained
within the boathouse area, and ammunition and ordnance operations were not
affected by the accident.

{mosads}There was no immediate explanation for what caused the explosion,
and the Navy said the incident is under investigation.

Naval Weapons Station Earle, which is located in Colts Neck,
N.J., provides weapons and ammunition for the Atlantic Fleet Carrier and
Expeditionary Strike Groups.
