US intel shows North Korea prepping for another missile test: report

North Korea reportedly appears to be taking steps for another potential intercontinental ballistic missile or intermediate-range missile test.

U.S. intelligence suggests North Korea is making preparations that could result in another test, which could happen in about two weeks, according to CNN.

Earlier this week, Gen. Paul Selva, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said he is “reasonably confident in the ability of our intelligence community to monitor the testing but not the deployment of these missile systems.”

{mosads}”Kim Jong Un and his forces are very good at camouflage, concealment and deception,” he told the Senate Armed Services Committee earlier this week.

He added that Pyongyang has not yet shown “capacity to strike the United States with any degree of accuracy or reasonable confidence of success.”

North Korea on July 4 successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.

Outside experts said the range of the missile appeared to put Alaska within reach, though they cautioned North Korea was still a ways off from being able to reliably strike the U.S. mainland, as well as shrinking a nuclear warhead to mount on a missile.
