House Dem wants BP CEO to testify before Congress

Hastings held a hearing last week on the recommendations of the national oil spill commission. During the hearing, which included testimony from the co-chairmen of the commission, Markey said it is important to improve industry safety standards, pointing to a finding by the commission that “systemic” problems within the industry led to the oil spill.
