Clinton to speak before League of Conservation Voters
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will speak at the League of Conservation Voters’ dinner in New York in December.
President of the green group, Gene Karpinski, praised Clinton for her call to action on climate change during her speech at a clean energy summit in Nevada earlier this month.
{mosads}”Secretary Clinton outlined a compelling vision of a clean energy future that makes fighting the climate crisis a top priority during her recent speech at the National Clean Energy Summit,” Karpinski said in a statement.
“We’re honored that Secretary Clinton will continue that call to action as the featured speaker at our New York dinner this year,” he added.
Other climate activists like Bill McKibben of 350.org have said Clinton has yet to prove herself as a champion of policies that will help tackle climate change.
Rallying the environmental base and progressives would be key for Clinton should she decide to throw her hat in the ring for the 2016 presidential race.
Clinton is the front-runner for Democrats in 2016.
