Senate panel plans hearing on banks owning oil, gas commodities
A Senate subcommittee on investigations will hold a two-day hearing when Congress returns from recess on Wall Street banks’ involvement with physical commodities like oil, natural gas and metals.
{mosads}The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations hearing will span two days from Nov. 20-21.
Chaired by Sen. Carl Levin, the subcommittee hearing comes after a two-year bipartisan investigation into the “extent to which banks and their holding companies own physical commodities” like oil, and control businesses like power plants, and oil and gas pipelines.
