Former Interior drilling regulator joins law firm

Bromwich, a former Justice Department inspector general, oversaw the reorganization of the Interior Department’s offshore drilling functions in the aftermath of the 2010 oil spill.

During his time as the head of Interior’s newly formed offshore regulation and enforcement arm, Bromwich was instrumental in advancing new safety and environmental regulations.

Bromwich founded a consulting firm, the Bromwich Group, in April after stepping down as Interior’s top offshore drilling regulator.

The firm “offers crisis management and strategic advisory services, as well as more specialized services relating to offshore energy and law enforcement,” according to its website.
