Former Rep. Lee Terry joins law firm
Former Republican Rep. Lee Terry (Neb.), known for supporting the Keystone XL oil pipeline, is joining a Washington, D.C., law firm.
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP announced on Monday that Terry would be joining the firm as a senior adviser on government relations.
{mosads}Terry, who was voted out during the 2014 midterm elections, served 16 years in the House and spent most of his time on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
The firm highlighted Terry’s portfolio as “a leader” on energy, motor fuels, fuel economy, the renewable fuel mandate, pipeline infrastructure and liquefied natural gas.
Notably, Terry is also a strong proponent of building of the Keystone XL pipeline, which has been placed front and center in the new 114th Congress.
“As I embark on this new phase of my career, I am excited at the opportunity to work with my colleagues and to help the firm’s impressive roster of clients develop their public policy initiatives and navigate the legislative and political terrain of the federal government,” Terry said in a statement.
