President Obama is pushing for more investments in clean energy for homes in his 2016 budget proposal, boosting his climate action plan.
The details of the plan will be announced later Monday, but in a morning fact sheet the White House said the budget would invest in clean energy to improve energy security and resilience to climate change.
Reuters reports the budget will propose $7.4 billion to fund such clean energy technologies referenced in the White House fact sheet.
Obama will also request a $4 billion fund to encourage states across the U.S. to make faster and greater reductions in emissions from power plants, officials said, according to Reuters.
