Jeb Bush to unveil energy platform
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is releasing a series of energy proposals next week, according to Bloomberg.
The 2016 GOP presidential candidate is unveiling the platform as part of his pledge to create 4 percent economic growth if he wins the White House.
{mosads}Bush will offer a preview of the plan to donors Monday and then unveil it the next day at Rice Energy, Inc., a company 35 miles outside of Pittsburgh that develops oil and natural gas deposits in the Appalachian Basin.
Bush has repeatedly touted his support for eliminating energy sector tax subsidies and boosting hydraulic fracturing practices if elected president.
Donald Trump remains the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination across multiple national polls. Trump ranks first out of 15 candidates with 24 percent, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.
Bush has frequently argued that he offers a serious, policy-based alternative to the outspoken billionaire. He currently places fourth with 9.8 percent voter support of his own.
