Durbin has also worked at the American Chemistry Council, the main trade group for the chemical industry.
“Marty has the credibility, respect and ability to be the face of ANGA. He is highly respected among his peers and well-liked within the current Administration and on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill,” wrote Farris, who is the CEO of Apache.
“He is media-savvy and has played a key role in the development and execution of API’s advocacy efforts. He’s also a professional, straight-shooter and person of integrity,” Farris wrote.
Durbin will replace Regina Hopper, who left ANGA in February. He is the nephew of Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the No. 2 Senate Democrat.
