Boehner: House GOP deserves credit for Senate Keystone vote
The Senate voted 62-37 Friday for a pro-Keystone amendment to a nonbinding budget resolution. Seventeen Democrats joined Republicans in favor of the proposed pipeline, which would bring oil from Alberta’s tar sands projects to Gulf Coast refineries.

TransCanada Corp.’s proposed pipeline is under Obama administration
review, and pipeline supporters are using the Senate vote to increase political
pressure on the White House to approve Keystone.
Boehner’s memo cites the Senate Keystone vote among several pieces of evidence that Republicans have “been effective in keeping the pressure on the Democratic majority in Washington to control spending and remove barriers to economic growth.”
The Hill’s Erik Wasson has much more on Boehner’s memo here.
