Senior House Republican threatens fresh Interior subpoenas

Jewell, for her part, on Wednesday urged one-on-one conversations before more document requests are issued.

“If there is a way we can go through it without people going through laborious document requests, and then your having to review those document requests, that would be great because I think we share a commitment to transparent relationships,” she said.

“What we want to do is get to the bottom of issues that are of concern to this Committee,” Jewell later told another lawmaker, Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.).
