Power giants bend White House ear on carbon rules

UPDATE: OMB on Thursday posted even more listings of meetings with outside groups about the carbon rules for new power plants.
Utility giant Southern Company met with various White House and EPA aides on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
And the day before that, White House and EPA aides met with representatives from the Natural Resources Defense Council, which is an environmental group that supports regulating carbon emissions.
