Rainforest Action Network names new chief

Allen has led campaigns against corporations such as Nike and Disney, and directed RAN’s forest program since 2010.

She’ll be heading up a new campaign that will take aim at agribusiness and will ramp up the group’s push against the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline.

“I’m honored to take the helm of this powerhouse of an organization. Rainforest Action Network is one of the only groups that works to defend forests and stem climate change by going after the largest corporate environmental offenders, and winning,” Allen said in a statement.
