Schwarzenegger offered Greta Thunberg use of his electric car: report
Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) offered to loan climate activist Greta Thunberg his electric car.
Thunberg told the Scandinavian talk show “Skavlan” in Swedish about the former governor’s proposal.
“One of the funniest offers I’ve received is that Arnold Schwarzenegger has offered me to lend his electric car if I want to,” she said, according to a translation by Newsweek.
The former governor teamed up with Kreisel, a company focused on electric mobility, in 2017, CBS reported. He first met Thunberg at a climate conference in Austria in May, ABC reported.
The former actor posted to Twitter saying he was “starstruck” to meet her.
Excited to kick off our @R20_AWS in Vienna. I have to admit I was starstruck when I met @gretathunberg. Tune in tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/b0c5FtmZDq
