Pro-EV group announces six-figure ad buy in Michigan
A group supporting electric vehicles (EVs) announced Wednesday it is buying six figures worth of advertisements in Michigan.
Joe Sacks, executive director of the American EV Jobs Alliance, the group behind the ads, declined to provide a more specific number beyond six figures.
Asked who was funding the group, Sacks said backers include “companies and individuals who support electric vehicles and don’t want to see them further politicized.”
This includes EV-only companies and companies that sell a mix of electric and gas-powered cars, Sacks said, though he declined to name specific backers.
The ad highlights jobs created by making EVs and asks whether viewers “want those jobs in China instead?”

Without naming names it says, “When politicians bash EVs, America loses.”
While the advertisement is not explicitly anti-Trump, the former president has repeatedly criticized electric vehicles on the campaign trail — though he softened his tone recently after an endorsement from Tesla’s Elon Musk.
And while the United Auto Workers union has endorsed Harris, it has also raised concerns about whether the transition to electric vehicles was being done in a way that supports workers.
