Sessions blast Democrats on extenders

He also criticized House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) for joking with reporters about making backroom deals, saying she replied “We’re Democrats” when asked about the goings-on behind the scenes.
Slaughter took issue with Sessions’ characterization, calling it an inaccurate account of the exchange between herself and reporters, during which The Hill was present.
Slaughter’s “We’re Democrats” comment was in response to a question about whether Democratic leaders would only bring the extender bill to the floor if they had the votes to pass it.
