Possible third extenders bill surfaces on K Street

The bill does not include measures the Senate passed last week — e.g., the extension of the so-called “doc fix” with accompanying offsets. It also makes changes to a controversial offset that increases taxes on family partnerships.

The bill includes the extension related to the homebuyer tax credit the Senate added to last week’s extender bill. The provision is offset by disallowing a deduction for certain damages paid in connect with lawsuits.

Unemployment insurance is extended through November under the bill. The measure also extends Build America Bonds, as well as several business and individual tax breaks that were a part of past bills.
