Pence says threat of tax hike hinders job growth

Congressional leaders are working out how to move forward on the Bush-era tax cuts, which are set to expire at the end of the year.

Democrats are pushing for the extension of the middle-class tax cuts while letting those for individuals and couples who make more than $200,000 and $250,000 a year, respectively, expire.

Some Democrats have expressed support for extending all of the tax cuts for a year or two while the economy recovers.
