Tea Party Nation focuses on races that could hinder Dem agenda on Bush tax cuts

“[All] three of those [races are] being elected to replace senators who were appointed to replace senators who either died or who resigned,” states the TPN email. “By law, in each of those three states, the newly elected senator takes office immediately.”

As reported Monday by The Hill, if Republicans win the aforementioned races, Democrats will lose those seats in November, making it harder for them to pass legislation that extends the Bush middle-class tax cuts while allowing tax breaks for the wealthy to expire on schedule at the end of the year.
