Hoyer keeps door open for pre-election vote on Bush tax cuts
“If we thought we could get it through the Senate, absolutely, we would act,” he told reporters. “We may well act anyway.”
Democratic leaders will met later Tuesday to decide whether a vote on the tax cuts should be added to the suspension calendar.
“It is certainly under consideration,” he said, adding that a final decision will come just moment before adjournment.
