Former Rep. Baron Hill joins lobby, PR firm

“I look forward to helping clients navigate many of the key issues driving the global political landscape, including economic stability, financial sustainability and health care policy,” Hill said. “The lasting networks I’ve built throughout my recent congressional service will enable me to better understand and serve complex client needs.”

{mosads}First elected in 1998, Hill served five terms in the House, losing his 2004 reelection bid to former Rep. Mike Sodrel (R-Ind.). He was back in Congress two years later, when he beat Sodrel in the 2006 election. Hill then lost last year to Republican Todd Young.

Hill was a member of the Blue Dogs, the conservative Democratic House caucus whose many former members have found a new home on K Street. The former congressman joins other prominent Democrats at APCO, including former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former Sen. Don Riegle (Mich.).
