Conservative group: Obama’s tax-the-wealthy pitch paying off

{mosads}For his part, Sanders, who introduced legislation earlier this year that would have also placed a surtax on annual income higher than $1 million, has often cited polling that shows public support for the idea.
Crossroads, meanwhile, argued in its memo that the president was trafficking in class warfare, and that it appeared to be working.
“It may be the result of larger environmental conditions, or he may be moving the needle himself, but Obama’s ‘tax the rich’ mantra is getting traction,” Crossroads CEO Steven Law wrote.
The memo also argued that, in trying to rebut the president’s argument, opponents should cite former President Bill Clinton’s warning against raising taxes in a slow economy.
