Judge charges Spanish princess with tax fraud
A judge has charged a Spanish princess with tax evasion and money laundering, and is calling Princess Cristina to court in March.
{mosads}According to media reports, the judge found that there is evidence that Cristina, the youngest daughter of King Juan Carlos, had broken the law.
Cristina’s legal issues are part of a broader problem for the Spanish royal family. Spanish authorities are also investigating her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, a former Olympic athlete, for tax fraud and embezzlement over his sports-related nonprofit. The couple has said they are innocent.
