Poll: Seven in 10 believe economy in bad shape

The poll comes after March’s disappointing jobs report, with the economy adding 120,000 jobs. But the unemployment rate, 8.2 percent, is also down to its lowest point since early 2009. 

{mosads}The results were released as polling firms like Gallup have also found voters more confident about the country’s economy. But CBS and The New York Times also found that roughly twice as many people believe that, over the last two years, they’ve fallen behind in the economy instead of getting ahead.
