The outlook for a good quality job in the United States has returned to pre-recession levels, Gallup found in a survey released Monday.
Thirty-six percent of people said December has been a good time to find a quality job, which is the highest level since November 2007.
The latest outlook is also up 6 percentage points from November, Gallup found.
{mosads}Gallup recorded the highest level in January 2007, when 48 percent said that was a good time to find a quality job. The last time it hit the lowest level, 8 percent, was in November 2011.
Despite the new gains, more than 60 percent said now is a bad time to find a quality job, though that number has gone down since last month.
Gallup found 43 percent of younger adults said now is a good time to find a quality job while only 29 percent of older adults reported the same.
Democrats are also more positive than Republicans with nearly half of Democrats saying now is a good time to nail down a quality job and 29 percent of Republicans having that impression.
The survey polled 805 adults between Dec. 8 and 11 and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
