Paul spokesman headed to consulting firm
Brian Darling, a senior spokesman to prospective 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), is leaving his position effective immediately to work for a Washington, D.C., consulting company.
Darling told The Hill that he will be senior vice president at Third Dimension Strategies, a political consulting firm run by Republican strategist Jim Terry.
{mosads}“I have been honored to work for Senator Rand Paul over the past two years as both counsel and senior communications director,” Darling told The Hill.
“I know him to be a principled and good-natured man. Although I am very excited for the new challenge with Third Dimension Strategies, I am going to miss the day-to-day fight for freedom with Team Paul.”
Prior to working for Paul’s office, Darling spent seven years at conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation as a senior fellow and director of government and state relations.
