{mosads}Karen McAfee has taken the position, committee ranking member Sandy Levin (D-Mich.) announced Wednesday.

Until now, Janice Mays has served as both chief counsel and chief tax counsel. Mays is staying on as chief counsel.

McAfee joined the committee in 2007.

“For almost six years, Karen has served as staff director on the Oversight subcommittee, where she has proven to be an exceptional, dedicated public servant,” Levin said.

Prior to Capitol Hill, McAffee worked as a lawyer at Drinker, Biddle and Reath; and at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
