Jobs growth picks up across all regions
“As a result, the West has replaced the South as the strongest contributor of growth.”
The top four states for adding jobs were — California with 33,440, Texas with 21,860, New York added 14,140 and Florida with 12,250.
ADP’s national employment report released last week showed that employers added 200,000 jobs last month, 57,000 in the West region.
The South added a total of 81,000.
Meanwhile, nearly all 29 states tracked by ADP, as well as the District of Columbia, showed positive job growth rates in July, with the exception of Pennsylvania, which remained flat.
