Dodd-Frank advocate joins Center for American Progress
The liberal think tank announced Wednesday that Marc Jarsulic was its new vice president for economic policy. Jarsulic previously served as the chief economist for Better Markets, a pro-reform group.
“Marc’s wide-ranging experience on a host of economic issues will serve CAP’s economic team well,” said CAP President Neera Tanden. “His leadership, expertise, and insights will help develop new policy proposals as he leads CAP’s economic team in its work to ensure economic growth that is more widely shared and responsible fiscal policies, as well as other economic issues.”

Jarsulic served on the banking panel from 2009 to 2011, which covered the time the panel helped draft and pass the Dodd-Frank financial reform law.
He previously worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission, and also taught as an economics professor.
