Trump to sell tax plan in Pennsylvania next week
President Trump will sell his tax plan in a speech in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Friday.
“The president will be back out on the road next week building support for this plan, which is really a jobs bill,” Sanders said during the daily press briefing.
Last week, the White House and congressional Republicans released a tax framework that would reduce the number of individual tax brackets and slash tax rates for businesses. The congressional tax-writing committees are using the framework as a guideline as they craft legislation, which they hope to pass by the end of the year.

Pennsylvania is home to Sen. Bob Casey Jr., one of the Democrats up for reelection next year in a state that Trump won.
Trump has previously given tax speeches in several other states he carried with Democratic senators: Missouri, North Dakota and Indiana. Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) joined Trump when he spoke in their states.
The announcement about the tax speech comes shortly after Trump hosted manufacturers in the Oval Office and signed a document proclaiming Friday National Manufacturing Day. During the signing ceremony, Trump said he wants to “dramatically reduce the tax on American manufacturers so that we can compete and win on the world stage.”
