Read legislative text of Senate GOP’s tax overhaul legislation

The Senate Finance Committee late Monday released the legislative text of its tax overhaul legislation.

The text was unveiled after the panel approved the GOP proposal on a party-line vote last week. The committee typically marks up detailed narratives of tax bills and releases legislative text once the plans clear the panel.

{mosads}The 515-page bill temporarily cuts taxes for individuals while slashing the corporate tax rate on a permanent basis. The bill is expected to be considered on the Senate floor next week.

The Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that the bill would add $1.414 trillion to the deficit over 10 years.
