Linda McMahon, who heads the Small Business Administration (SBA), is planning to announce as soon as Friday that she is stepping down from the agency, Politico reported, citing three people familiar with the matter.
One source told the news outlet that she plans to join fundraising efforts for President Trump’s 2020 campaign.

She is expected to accompany Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida this weekend, according to the outlet.
The SBA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
McMahon, one of Trump’s original Cabinet members, is one of just five women in the president’s Cabinet. A longtime friend of Trump’s, McMahon has regularly traveled across the U.S. to bolster the president’s message and agenda.
The business executive co-founded World Wrestling Entertainment along with her husband and served as the company’s CEO before running an unsuccessful bid for the Connecticut’s Senate seat in 2009.
