White House says stimulus providing boost to economy
The Commerce Department announced this morning that retail sales were up 1.6 percent in March and have risen 7.6 percent since March 2009, according to the Retail Industry Leaders Association.
Republicans have been highly critical of the stimulus law, saying it has put the nation deeper in debt and hasn’t aided the economic recovery.
