Short-term CR avoids reform defunding

The two-week CR outlines $466 million in HHS cuts from funding made available in fiscal 2010 that would have gone to earmarked programs and projects, according to the House Appropriations Committee. Those cuts include:
   
• Health Resources and Services: $397 million
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: $21 million
• Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration: $15 million
• CMS, program management: $3 million
• Children and Families Services program: $21 million
• Child Care Development Block Grant: $1 million
• Administration on Aging: $6 million
