Rep. Issa drops new ObamaCare docs
The House Oversight Committee released another slew of ObamaCare documents Tuesday, calling them an “unvarnished record” of the problems facing the federal enrollment website.
The 175-page trove details several meetings among federal health officials in the immediate aftermath of the site’s rollout.
{mosads}While mostly couched in technical language, the notes reveal the myriad problems that faced the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the beginning of October.
The issues ranged in size and importance from debate over HealthCare.gov’s “plan preview” feature to the technical concerns of specific insurance companies.
The Oversight panel, led by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), highlighted portions suggesting that federal health officials were learning about some problems with the system through news reports.
Officials also discussed an instance of “Navigator fraud” on Oct. 1 without giving further detail.
