RNC is ‘#Grubering’
Jonathan Gruber’s comments on the “stupidity” of the American voter have made it into an ad by the Republican National Committee (RNC).
{mosads}The RNC released a web ad Friday called “#Grubering,” which features clips from the former ObamaCare consultant that have gone viral over the last week.
“Gruber’s comments reveal how President Obama and Democrats like Nancy Pelosi took advantage of Americans and violated the trust of voters,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus wrote in a statement.
“Like Gruber, they clearly think Americans are too ‘stupid’ to figure out what’s in our own best interest,” he said.
Four videos unearthed this week have shown Gruber casting an unflattering light on the administration’s strategy to pass the Affordable Care Act. The first video was discovered by an investment adviser researching the law, and the others were reported by the Daily Caller and CNN.
The RNC video also shows footage in which both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi mentioned Gruber by name.
Pelosi told reporters Thursday that she didn’t know who Gruber was and that he didn’t help write the bill.
The video describes Gruber as the architect of ObamaCare, though he was one of several consultants on the legislation. He was paid nearly $400,000 for his work, according to The Washington Post.
