Republicans investigate ObamaCare delay

{mosads}The Treasury Department said those concerns prompted a delay in the mandate’s reporting requirements and penalties.

House Republicans, while acknowledging that such criticism has been widespread, pressed the administration Wednesday to document all communication between administration officials and “individuals, companies or organizations” that related to the delay.

GOP lawmakers, in a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, also noted that administration officials have repeatedly said other parts of the law will be ready on time.

Sebelius and other officials have said new insurance marketplaces will be up and running as scheduled by Oct. 1. Although those assurances did not pertain to the employer mandate, Republicans have said one delay raises the possibility of larger problems with the implementation effort.
