Cancer lobby names new policy director

{mosads}Sloan began as a legislative aide for former Rep. Norm Dicks (D-Wash.), where she handled healthcare and aging policy, according to an online biography.

She then served in several roles at AARP, including national coordinator for health issues and chief Medicare lobbyist.

As vice president at the National Partnership for Women and Families, Sloan helped direct the group’s healthcare portfolio.
