Coalition launches ads opposed to ObamaCare repeal bill

Save My Care, a coalition formed to oppose ObamaCare repeal, is launching a new, six-figure television ad urging senators to oppose the newest repeal bill, arguing that powerful health organizations have slammed the legislation.

“Sen. Cassidy and partisan politicians are trying to jam through another health care repeal bill that’s worse than all the rest,” the ad says.

“Every health care group you trust — like the American Medical Association, AARP, the American Cancer Society and dozens of others — strongly oppose the bill.”

Starting Tuesday, the ads will play in Washington, D.C., as Republicans attempt a last-ditch effort to repeal President Obama’s signature health law.

The GOP has until the end of month to pass the new bill from Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and avoid a Democratic filibuster since the fast-track budget maneuver, known as reconciliation, expires Sept. 30.

They have a slim margin for error and can only afford to lose two votes — assuming Vice President Pence breaks the tie.
