ObamaCare approval slips from record high: Gallup
Fifty percent of Americans approve of ObamaCare according to a new Gallup poll, a slight dip from record approval rates for the health-care law earlier this year.
The Gallup poll released on Monday found the health-care law’s approval dropping from a high of 55 percent in April.
{mosads}Still, the poll shows higher support and less opposition to ObamaCare compared to a year ago.
It found that 44 percent of those surveyed disapprove of the health-care law, down from 53 percent at this time last year. Twenty-nine percent of those who currently do not approve of the law would like it to be repealed and replaced.
Republicans in Congress have failed repeatedly this year to repeal the Obama-era law.
They’re now trying to eliminate the ObamaCare mandate as part of a tax-reform bill the Senate is expected to vote on this week.
The survey of 1,028 adults across the country was conducted from Nov. 2-8 by phone. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
