GOP, AMA renew attacks on healthcare panel

The IPAB is emerging as Republican’s biggest target, at least in the House, as they seek to shift the healthcare debate back to the reform law and away from Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) Medicare plan.

The Budget Committee, which Ryan chairs, has scheduled a hearing on the IPAB for next week — just a day before a previously scheduled hearing before the Energy and Commerce Committee. Health and Human Services Secretary is scheduled to testify at Budget.
