Eric Trump to speak at conference led by prominent anti-vaxxers

Eric Trump will be a keynote speaker next month at a conference organized by a couple who have called the COVID-19 vaccine “abominable” and a “COVID kill shot,” The Daily Beast reported.

“I am not there to talk about vaccines,” the former president’s son said in an email to The Daily Beast. “I am in Nashville to talk about the accomplishments of the 45th President of the United States.”

Trump also rejected claims the conference was an “anti-vaccine” event.

“As to labeling something an anti-vaccine event, it wouldn’t make much sense for me to attend as a vaccinated person if it was,” Trump told The Daily Beast.

Trump added that former President Trump’s push for a COVID-19 vaccine was “one of the greatest accomplishments of any president in history,” The Daily Beast reported.

The Truth About Cancer Live! conference is scheduled to take place in Nashville from Oct. 22 through Oct. 24. It is led by Ty and Charlene Bollinger, who have called the COVID-19 vaccine “that abominable vaccine,” according to a report from The Center for Public Integrity (CPI).

The Daily Beast also reported that the Bollingers have referred to the vaccine as a “SHOT OF POISON!” and the “COVID kill shot.”

The couple launched a docu-series called “The Truth about Vaccines” in 2017. While the series is framed as a search for truth on both sides of an issue, the CPI said the show features interviews with several vaccine skeptics.

CPI notes the couple has profited handsomely from their skepticism of mainstream medicine, from chemotherapy to vaccines.

“For the Bollingers and a network of similar influencers, speaking out against vaccines, including the coronavirus shots, is not just a personal crusade. It’s also a profitable business,” the group wrote.
