Turkey protesters tell Biden to ‘get out’

Vice President Biden on Saturday announced $135M in humanitarian aid to help feed those impacted by violence in the country.

That brings the U.S. total aid sent to Syria to more than $3 billion, Biden added.

Separately, about 300 people in Turkey protested Biden’s visit to the country, telling him to get out of the country.

The Associated Press reported that the protesters chanted, “Biden, get out. This country is ours.”

{mosads}According to the news wire, the Youth Association of Turkey organized the event, the same group that organized a protest against U.S. officials visiting the country last week.

Biden is in Turkey to discuss energy policies with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

The AP reported that Biden did not see the protests.
