Kerry injured in cycling accident
Secretary of State John Kerry was injured in a cycling accident in France, his spokesman said early Sunday.
{mosads}”Secretary Kerry is stable and likely suffered a leg injury. He did not lose consciousness,” Kerry spokesman John Kirby said in a statement.
Kerry, who was transported via a helicopter to a hospital, is in stable condition, Kirby added.
Kerry will return to Boston for treatment of a broken femur at Massachusetts General Hospital.
The 71-year-old Kerry is often photographed on a bicycle on international trips.
Kerry was in Geneva for nuclear talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Jarif on Saturday.

Kerry had been scheduled to travel to Madrid, Spain on Sunday for meetings with King Felipe VI, President Rajoy, and Foreign Minister Garcia-Margallo.
He was also scheduled to travel to Paris on Tuesday to attend talks with coalition partners fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
