Two people have died and several others were wounded after a suspect opened fire Friday in a Tel Aviv bar before fleeing, according to Israeli police.
{mosads}Authorities are searching for the suspect, who a witness said had a machine gun and started “shooting in every direction.” It’s unclear what the motive was.
Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai told media at the scene that the shooting “appears to be a terrorist attack motivated by nationalist,” according to the Jerusalem Post.
The Tel Aviv municipality told Israeli newspaper Haaretz it’s unclear yet if the shooting is a terror attack or a criminal act.
