Engel joins Obama on trip to Israel

{mosads}Engel has been one of the most hawkish Democrats in support of Israel. He introduced legislation last month with panel Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) to tighten sanctions on Iran. and this week is sponsoring legislation calling on the president to arm vetted rebels in Syria.

Engel met with Vice President Biden and White House staff last week to discuss the president’s trip to the region.
