Kazakhstan: Our citizens not charged with terrorism in Boston case

“As we have repeatedly stressed, Kazakhstan strongly condemns any form of terrorism. The Kazakhstan side is cooperating with the U.S. law enforcement bodies in their investigation.”

{mosads}Last month, the Czech embassy in Washington issued a statement pointing out that the Czech Republic has nothing to do with Chechnya after some social media users turned their ire toward Czechs.

“As more information on the origin of the alleged perpetrators is coming to light, I am concerned to note in the social media a most unfortunate misunderstanding in this respect,” Ambassador Petr Gandalovič said in a statement on the embassy website. “The Czech Republic and Chechnya are two very different entities — the Czech Republic is a Central European country; Chechnya is a part of the Russian Federation.”
