Fang also has served as a senior adviser for the State Department in southern Afghanistan.

Podesta is one of the top firms in the influence industry. The lobby shop earned $6.6 million in lobbying fees for the first quarter of 2013.
The firm also has one of the more active international advocacy practices on K Street. Podesta has active contracts with the embassies of Azerbaijan, Japan and India, among others, according to Justice Department records.
